Stupid question about applying for the exam |

I know my question is dumb but I still am unclear about the answer:
Are you supposed to send in your transcripts before you apply for the exam? I am in California and step 1 from the CPA handbook says to send in all your transcripts. Step 2 is then to apply for the test by sending in $100 and your app.
I just sent in all my transcripts, so should I wait 2-3 weeks before sending in my application, so that I am sure the board has already received and processed my transcripts?

I'm not in CA... maybe someone who is there can give a better answer... but I would not delay sending in the app and money. Otherwise they are going to get your transcripts and ask themselves, "who is this?" When you send in the app, send a cover letter that says when you mailed the transcripts.

I sent in my transcripts at the same time I applied, so did my Friend. However, mine screwed up because they never posted my degree yet on the transcripts when I requested them, now I have to resend my transcripts to the CBA again.

think they base it off of SNN, when you send in your application they match the SSN to your transcripts.
The transcripts get sent directly from your school.

I had 4 different colleges that i had credit from send them my transcripts so i was pretty nervous about it all getting to them. In the end, the only one who 'forgot' to send out my transcripts was the school i graduated from... Go figure.
