Music in theatre - To play or not to play, that is the question??

So, what do you think. I personally love to listen to music during surgery, but my tastes often result in some rather interesting converstaions or comments being thrown around the operating table. Is there such a thing as a common taste? Should I become more 'Up with it' and 'trendy'?

Apparently Johnny Cash isn't everyones cup of tea.

What do you mean Johnny Cash isn't everyone's cup of tea!!!!

Are these people mad, the man's a genius. Still, I suppose that '50 cent' might not be 'pc' either in theatre, singing about shooting everyone in the head and the like. We've got enough surgery to do as it is.
