A large number of companies offer student travel tours. A student who is interested in traveling can find and book the tours through the internet or by visiting a local travel agent. Some of the tours are located in the US, while others are considered Adventure Tours and located all over the world.

Some of the most popular student travel tours occur in Africa, Australia, and India. The African tours are famous for visiting the national nature and wildlife preserves. Students traveling to Australia have many options, not just tours of the Outback. Some of the tours involve diving at the Great Barrier Reef, or visiting the towering trees of the Western corner. White water rafting has become more popular in India as an Adventure tour. There are also jungle safaris and coastal tours.

Student tour groups minimize the stress of planning a trip. The highlights of the destination are the bread and butter of the tour group, so itineraries are scheduled in different ways to cater to the tastes of different types of travelers. Students can choose some tours for as short a period as one day. Two days is the normal period for short tours, but the previous one day tours can be chosen even as little as a day in advice when in the host country.

When choosing a tour, students and their parents should carefully check the tour company’s policies. Will there be enough chaperones? How will rooms be separated between the sexes? What type of transportation is used? These are just a few of the important questions students should ask.
