The Collegiate School, Yale University
Yale University was established in 1701 and the present president is Mr. Richard C. Levin. Approximately 11.390 students attend Yale, and of that 5.316 of them are undergraduates. Since 1894 the color of the uniforms was Yale Blue, and prior to the change in that year, the uniforms were green. Yale goes by the nickname “Bulldogs”, “Elis” and “Blue”.
Yale is a private university and it is located in New Haven, Connecticut. The university is also known to be the third oldest university that offers higher education than any other in the Unites States of America.
The undergraduate school, Yale College and its own Yale Law School has each produced Heads of States and United Presidents. In the late 1800’s the first U.S school to achieve the Ph.D. degree was the school of Arts and Sciences.
In addition to Yale producing U.S Presidents and Heads of States, Yale’s School of Drama is responsible for producing many prominent Broadway and Hollywood actors and actresses.
Yale’s assets are a $20 billion provision, and this is the second highest in the academic institution. They hold over a dozen libraries, which in total hold 12.1 million books. This makes it the second largest library system.
There is an astonishing 3.333 faculty members working at Yale, and they are responsible for teaching 6.000 graduate students 5.300 undergraduate students.
As many would guess, and as we see in movies, Yale and Harvard have been in competition with each other throughout their history, notably rowing, academics and American Football.
